Fireproof
Under the close supervision of a renowned organization - Underwriters Laboratories Inc. - safes in the Optima 2 line were tested under the most severe fire conditions.
The results of these tests:
- Fire resistance at 927 deg. C or 1700 deg. F during 1 hour
- Simulated explosion at 100 deg. C or 2000 deg. F during 30 minutes
- A 30 foot drop onto a concrete surface followed by a 30 minute exposure to intense heat
- The results were conclusive: contents remained intact.
- Clearly, Gardex can guarantee you the best possible protection for all of your most valuable documents and possessions.
Anti-Theft
The Optima 2 Line is also equipped with these outstanding anti-theft features:
- Chrome plated steel 3/4" boltwork
- Top, bottom and side locking bolts
- New, solid die-cast handle with steel spindle
- S&G 6730 combination lock with chrome spy-proof ring and dial (relock device)
- New, heavy-duty hinges
- Independant, tamper resistant relock device
- Boltwork and handle automatically locks when door is closed
New on Optima 2 Safes
Combination lock is now protected by drill resistant hard plate between lock and dial ring.
These highly effective anti-theft characteristics are complimented by other quality features, including:
- Heavy-guauge, satin coated, rust-proofed steel finish
- A stylish design and a tasteful shade of slate blue that will easily blend into any decor
- All models come with adjustable shelving for better organization
- A new die-cast handle and caster base for added convenience
"Optima 2" Maximum Selection
The new Optima 2 Line was designed primarily for use in the office. It features 4 standard sizes and one ledger size. All models of the Optima 2 Series feature the same sturdy construction, but their capacity varies to meet a wide range of security needs.
The SP 1714 is a compact 61 x 47 x 47 cm (24 x 18 1/2 x 18 1/2 in.) one-shelf model, perfect fo the home, while the slightly larger SP 2214 will suit the needs of any small business. With it's two adjustable shelves, the SP 3219 is ideal for any company office. The largest standard safe in the Optima 2 line is the SP 4219 which comes with three adjustable shelves and it's our measurements are 127 x 67 x 67 cm. (50 x 26 1/2 x 26 1/2 in.).
Gardex is also proud to present the SP 5019, a ledger-size safe measuring 152 x 67 x 67 cm. (60 x 26 1/2 x 26 1/2 in.) This model carries a security warranty stating that the safe can withstand a two-hour exposure to temperatures up to 1000 deg. C (1850 deg. F) while maintaining an inner temperature no higher than 177 deg. C (350 deg. F).
Models SP 4219 and SP 5019 can also accomodate E.D.P. bars for storage and safekeeping of computer printouts. Available as an option, these bars are easily installed.
